At Wandina Primary School, we believe strong partnerships between home and school are essential to every child’s success. We are committed to reporting to parents regularly and meaningfully throughout the year, ensuring families are well informed and actively engaged in their child’s learning journey. Ongoing communication allows us to celebrate progress, identify next steps, and work together to support each student to reach their full potential.
At Wandina Primary School our reporting processes include:
Term 1
Welcome BBQ – Meet and Greet
Parents have the opportunity to visit their child’s classroom and engage with the school community to build meaningful relationships. Student work will be on display as well as some clear goal setting for the semester.
Term 2
Semester 1 Progress and Achievement Report
Parents will be provided with a formal report outlining their child’s progress and achievement on the content taught in Semester 1.
Term 3
Open Classrooms – A Learning Journey
Parents have the opportunity to visit their child’s classroom and view highlighted work samples demonstrating progress and achievement.
Term 4
Semester 2 Progress and Achievement Report
Parents will be provided with a formal report outlining their child’s progress and achievement on the content taught in Semester 2.
In addition to these specific reporting events, parents are encouraged to connect to Seesaw for a daily/weekly update of their child’s learning. Regular Teacher/Parent meetings are also encouraged throughout the year.
